Rebecca Jackson-Jones, Power Plate & Hybrid HIIT Small Group and 1:1 InstructorI’ve always had a passion for exercise and keeping myself fit and active, and I am a total science geek, loving all things anatomy and physiology based; so when it came to retraining post career break after having children it took me down the path of becoming a fitness instructor. As a mum of two I became aware of the time constraints that most of us face in carving out time for ourselves and in particular for exercise, so I am an advocate of the 30 minute classes we offer. These full body workouts incorporate a range of different methods to ensure you get the most out of your workouts! After qualifying as a gym instructor I have undertaken various continuing professional development courses. I am a Level 3 pre- and post-natal instructor, and have taught post-natal specific classes for the past 4 years. I am also a qualified power plate instructor and have taken various toolkit workshops, including kettlebell, dumbbell, TRX and pad work. I have also recently completed a strength and conditioning course, that specialised in injury prevention, with an emphasis on runners, after working with Nantwich Running Club since January 2021. I have also started some Precision Nutrition courses to enable me to support clients nutritionally as well. Please get in touch with me to discuss your goals and how we can work together to achieve them!

I am currently studying level 2, level 3 Personal Training and level 2 Mental Health Awareness, I hope to qualify soon.

My career until recently was in sales, customer service and support roles, my passion and 'free-time' running. In the last two years I have, like many of you, reflected on this work/life balance and what is important to me. I had a view in my mind, that turning the young age of 50 during the pandemic, I wanted to feel healthy in my mind, body and soul.

Through study and some personal experience I have a very good understanding of the challenges that anxiety and other mental health issues can bring, for me physical activity has had the biggest impact on my wellbeing. And it's never too late to make a start! In my mid 40's I started to casually run, quite literally 'couch to 5k'! In 2020 joined a local social running group and met some amazing, like minded friends. As running became more important to me and my wellbeing I joined Nantwich running club in 2021, and I now regularly Lead a fantastic group of athletes.

Since turning 50 I have started running competitively, contentiously improving my 'Personal Bests' and more importantly, feeling strong in my mind, and body. I have also discovered the joys of trail running, exploring Bickerton, Delamere, and recently the roaches.

In my personal improvement journey I had regularly joined Beck's strength and conditioning classes at Excel, and she could see how passionate and enthusiastic I was in my sessions. After one class a coffee and chat led to me knowing that my passion and 'free-time' was what I wanted as my career, before I knew it I was studying. I am ready to share my passion, and enthusiasm with others.

I maybe new working in the health and fitness industry, but I hope that my passion, understanding, and personality will make up for it! 😉

I will continue to study, and improve, so that I can offer you what you deserve, which is my best.
